LASSIC DESIGN AND SWEET, ARTICULATE TONE
The Premier Tammany LS is the sole OM in D'Angelico's entry-level acoustic collection. Featuring a notably comfortable body size and a slim C-shape neck profile, the Tammany LS guarantees comfort for every player. Its warm, balanced tone is clear across all six strings, while its onboard preamp and tuner makes on-stage amplification and performance simple. The perfect accompaniment for singer-songwriters or solo strummers, the Tammany LS is bound to be a series stand-out.
All-mahogany construction creates a warm sound
Tone is the be-all-end-all when it comes to acoustic guitars, and D'Angelico does all that they can to create the best-sounding acoustics. To achieve their goal, D'Angelico uses the best tonewoods available. The Premier Tammany's body is made entirely from laminated mahogany to facilitate a warm, rounded tone with a nice midrange boost. From the moment you strum your first chord, you'll fall in love with the Premier Tammany's acoustic character.
Onboard preamp produces great plugged-in tone
Gigging musicians around Sweetwater know how much of a pain it is to mic up an acoustic onstage. Instead, they prefer to plug into an acoustic amp or directly into the board when gigging. The Premier Tammany is loaded with an onboard D'Angelico MG-30 preamp. It accurately reproduces a clear tone that captures your acoustic character.
The D’Angelico legacy
After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his own shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. After his passing, the D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, Sweetwater is delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
