Neck designed for hours of comfort

The select hardwood neck with katalox fingerboard features Martin's legendary High Performance profile with Performing Artist taper which many players liken to a more electric-guitar-style neck. Essentially, the Performing Artist taper means the fingerboard width does not widen as much as you move up the neck (1-3/4” width at nut, but has a 2-1/8” width at the 12th fret), making for an ultra-comfortable feel especially for those longer performances. This taper also can help with those leads and chords that take place in the upper frets, making finger-shaping and runs much more comfortable – just ask the many guitarists here at Sweetwater who love the PA series of necks!
